I read excerpts of this letter in The Fathers of the Church, a book by Mike Aquilina. Here is how Mr. Aquilina introduces it: “In an affectionate letter, Origen offers advice to a star pupil, who would one day be canonized and deemed a Church Father, St. Gregory of Pontus, often called “the Wonder-Worker.” Origen …

I saw this on Sven Hendrich’s twitter. Though it is hard to believe, your future, your children’s future, and the entire american economy is based on the game of Monopoly, and the printing of little scraps of paper. It is fascinating watching america fall:
Simply put, as mortgage rates rise, monthly payments rise, which means prices should fall. That or people settle for cheaper homes. Since many people buy homes based on monthly payment cost rather than home price, it is worthwhile to look at what happens to home prices and payments when interest rates rise, as is currently …

Everyone can tell something is dreadfully wrong with the world. “Everybody’s having them dreams”, as Dylan said. I don’t know what it was but something happened on Labor Day Weekend 2022 which changed everything. Maybe the utter pointlessness of this destruction that is being wreaked upon america is really hitting home with many americans. Maybe …

Anyone in business knows that there are many great people in the world…kind, understanding…just good people that you enjoy doing business with. One of the great pleasures of business is in dealing with these people. To provide a good service at a fair price, and to have the respect of those you deal with, as …

I was in the building industry from 2001-2007 and then from 2015-2018. By 2018, it had gotten so difficult to deal with permitting authorities and find good subcontractors that I decided to stop building. Building a house is just a process, and the process itself had become such a grind that it wasn’t worth it. …
I’ll bet if you go to your pantry and start checking food labels you will be surprised at how many GMOs you’re eating. ‘Food’ companies are sneaking this trash into everything. The only warning is in small font located somewhere on the packaging. I used to love Hellman’s mayo. I checked the label – ‘Contains …

If you’re a parent that keeps your kids off screens you should be congratulated and cherished. Yes, it is hard work – for the kids want the screens. Plus, you have to fill the time they would otherwise be on screens with something else…which usually requires your attention and energy. But it is essential to …

If crime could be beautiful, theft through inflation would be the prettiest crime of them all. Why? Because many can tell they are getting poorer, but they don’t understand what is happening. If you rob a man of his wallet, he notices and becomes excitable, which is bad for the thief. If you rob a …

Regarding great artists, there is Rembrandt and then there is everyone else. I had never seen this painting before, and don’t know what to think of it. What do you think?
I have been trying recently to speak of Catholicism to everyone I meet. Though I haven’t been out much lately, preferring instead to stay home and study, I have met a few people and spoken with them about Catholicism. It is usually a short conversation with a store clerk. I say something like “Are you …
Marxists are only concerned about money and the economy. The quality of life of the people, how they actually live, is of no interest to them. We see this in our current society. The chief determining factor in the quality of one’s life is how much money they have and how industrious they are. It …

I started reading Of The Imitation of Christ. The book begins with this quote, describing what our chief study in life should be: “He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness,” saith the Lord. These are the words of Christ, by which we are reminded that we must copy His life and conduct, if …
Got health problems? There’s a good chance it’s from wheat. It is impossible to summarize the depth of knowledge contained in Wheat Belly by William Davis. It is a seemingly silly title that hides the wealth of information within. You must read it. Wheat is everywhere and in everything. It is recommended by the health …
I guess the USA trucker convoy has disbanded. They made a small stir, driving from California, tooting horns and hollering. “We’re going to clog up the beltway!” “We want to negotiate!” and other such drivel. Then they got to DC and folded. I’ve tried to find out why they folded so quickly but there isn’t …
This was originally a radio show by Michael Rivero, and is probably best listened to, rather than watched. In it, Mr. Rivero describes how the dollar system is used by central bankers to maintain their power over everyone. This system will be maintained at all costs. The dollar system will assuredly fail at some point, …

I realized last week that I needed a part for my gutter. I looked briefly online and couldn’t find it. So I started calling gutter installers within a 50 mile radius to see if they had the part in stock. Out of the 10 businesses I called, not one answered the phone. 2 days later, …
The Americano is a sight to behold. He gets upset at nothing. The banks foreclose upon his house and his family is out on the streets? No problemo, he jingle mails the keys to the bank and crawls into a cardboard box. He has gays parading in front of his children at the public school, …
